JAN E. MOFFATT - is a painter known for her misty landscapes of the Celtic Isles and vivid cottage gardens. Inspired by many trips across the pond and her own family heritage, her paintings move from the wild, misty landscape of Connemara to the timeless beauty of the Cotswolds. She has painted in Ireland, Scotland and England since 1991. She spent three weeks in Wales in 2004. She is also known for her paintings of East Coast lowlands and wetlands. She is mesmerized by skies reflected in wandering water.

Of her work she says, "My favorite method of painting is to revisit places I have been with my mind¹s eye and create from my imagination. Using my inner visions as my only source material, I let the paintings lead me. The paintings are daydreams, imaginings, meditations of places remembered or dreamt."
