The following
artists currently have works on display at THE LOFT GALLERY. These
images are representative examples of their works. Availability of these
works is as current as humanly possible...they do go fast!!
Karen Kozojet Ching has been a member of the Loft Gallery in
Occoquan, Virginia since the Fall of 2001. She was the Artist of the Month
with "Favorite Escapes" in September 2002, "The Time is
Now" in June 2004 and "New Horizons" in March 2006. She
will be featured again with "The French Countryside" in November
2007.
The artist's
vibrant paintings depict scenes from her travels and local surroundings.
Her impressionistic style captures the essence of her landscapes, seascapes,
and gardens. The luminosity of her watercolors is achieved through a series
of transparent glazes. Karen also paints large contemporary acrylics on
canvas.
Karen is a
member of the Springfield Art Guild and the Vienna Arts Society. She has
been accepted into their juried competitions. She is also a member of
the Arts Council of Fairfax County.

The artist
is active in the local arts community. In 2005 through 2007, she participated
in the Artist's Palette Project to promote awareness of and raise funds
for the Lorton Arts Foundation. In the Fall of 2006, her paintings were
hung in their first judged exhibition. Karen was the 2005 recipient of
the Emerging Artist Award during Springfield Days. Her first solo exhibit
was in the Historic Manor House at Green Spring Gardens Park in Alexandria,
Virginia, during January and February 2007. She has continuous exhibits
at Belmont Bay Marina in Woodbridge, Virginia and Remax Riverside in Occoquan,
Virginia.
Karen is a
native of Baltimore, Maryland. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from James
Madison University with degrees in Business and Art. The Ching family
resides in Fairfax Station, Virginia. Karen's paintings hang in private
collections throughout the U.S. and Germany.

Fairfax Station artist, Karen Kozojet Ching, captures the essence
of outdoor spaces in this series of new works. The paintings are
a dynamic collection of transparent watercolors on paper and large
contemporary acrylics on canvas.
