The following
artists currently have works on display at THE LOFT GALLERY. These
images are representative examples of their works. Availability of these
works is as current as humanly possible...they do go fast!!
Karen Kozojet Ching - “Creating a work of beauty from a blank canvas lifts the spirit and transcends the mind. Painting an image that shares experiences with the viewer is my lifelong passion. The reward is in captivating their attention and enabling them to make the visions their own.”
My evolving style is a fusion of impressionism and abstract expressionism. All aspects of my life inform my work. While I strive to make my paintings aesthetically appealing, the interpretation reaches deep beneath the multi-layered surface.
I have been a juried exhibiting artist at The Loft Gallery since 2001.

Studio 508 at the Workhouse Arts Center in Lorton, Virginia is my haven for artistic discovery.
I teach adult and youth art classes at the Workhouse and in outreach programs throughout Fairfax and Prince William counties. “FUNdamentals of Fine Art” is a developing curriculum that I initially designed for The Visual Arts Explorers Camp at the Workhouse in 2009.
I received fine art instruction at an atelier in Towson, Maryland. I also took enrichment courses through the Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore. I attended James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia as an art major. My father’s persuasion prevailed, and I graduated magna cum laude in 1980 with a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree and a minor in Art. I pursued my business career until I had my first daughter and moved with my Army career husband to Heidelberg, Germany. I returned to my love of painting as I continued to relocate and raise my three daughters.
Now I am painting full-time in my studio, exhibiting my work throughout the DC metro region, and sharing my knowledge and enthusiasm with my students.
