Daughter, Mother, Psychotherapist, Freelance Writer, Photographer – these are just some of the hats that Susan has worn throughout the years. One constant source of pleasure for her is finding delight in things both large and small, and capturing this essence through the camera’s lens.

Susan exhibits regularly in juried shows, and wins awards and increasing praise and attention for her photography. Her work is currently showing at the Loft Gallery in Occoquan, All Fired Up in Richmond, Lost Creek Winery in Lucketts, Fast Frame in Purcellville, and Mary’s Antiques and Artisans, Lovettsville.

Largely self-taught, Susan has taken some classes at the New York Institute of Photography, Washington School of Photography, and at Northern Virginia Community College. In addition, she has studied with Freeman Patterson, André Gallant, and Janel Pahl.

While her passion is flower and garden photography, Susan also does portrait and landscape photography, as well as estate and garden photography and documentation. In addition, she makes note cards for people of scenes that they’d like to have on cards, such as of their own garden or home.
