Northern Virginia artist Sherry Smith received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Akron - Akron, Ohio with a double major in Ceramics and Painting. Her current works combine her love of clay and painting with hand embroidery and other embellishments to produce a series of mixed -media "paper quilts" .
