While working in a variety of mediums, the majority of her work is traditional in style and painted in oils. Her subjects include pets, portraits, landscape and still life.  She takes commissions in pet portraits in oil or pen and ink.

As a military dependent, she traveled the world; living in Morocco, Germany, Okinawa and several states in America. Currently, Gloria travels as much as possible, using photography to capture potential art subjects.

Her painting, 'Heading Home' was a juried selection, one of only 13 of 100 entries, for the 2013 Workhouse Arts Center calendar.
'Sounds of the City' was a blue ribbon winner at The Arts Club of Washington , 2016.

'Strapless', her homage to John Singer Sargent, was selected for representation on art flags on the avenues of a Virginia city.
