The following artists currently have works on display at THE LOFT GALLERY. These images are representative examples of their works. Availability of these works is as current as humanly possible...they do go fast!!

John J. Young - is a self-taught photographer who began pursuing the skill in earnest in 2006 with the purchase of his first digital camera. He found that whenever he was taking pictures he spent more time than most trying to visualize, frame, and capture a setting and more important, he really enjoyed doing it and loved immersing himself in the effort to pull all he could out of a scene.  With the evolution of the digital camera, and although he has great respect for current and former artists who shoot film and for the inspiring images they produce, he found he could further pursue this passion while maintaining absolute creative control over the result without the need to learn and invest in the resources associated with film development.

John doesn't define himself as a certain type of photographer or limit himself to particular subjects or categories.  He tends to shoot what he sees depending on where he is and what he’s doing, and has as much fun shooting and processing nature, landscape, or wildlife scenes as he does street, portrait, and still life.

If you have an interest in seeing more of John’s work, have questions on the equipment or techniques he uses, would like to commission a set of photos, or are interested in having him photograph an event or do some portraitures, you’re welcome to contact him and he’ll be happy to work with you.  You can also see more of John’s work here: www.photoartbyjjy.com, or follow him on Instagram at @photoartbyjjy.
