Judy Heiser paints Abstract Expressionism with a contemporary pallet evolved from Plein Air painting through natures lines. Heiser’s trademarks are her bold brush work and sweeping strokes of vibrant colors applied – often with a pallet knife, she’s an action painter whose art is suffused with drama and vitality.
Heiser studied fine arts at Corcoran College of Art and Design and the Alexandria Art League. She co-founded Les Artists Locale, Plein Air Painters of Alexandria, works with ArtSpire VA, a nonprofit organization inspiring visual and performing arts, and created and taught a recreational Art Rehabilitation program at Mount Vernon Hospital. Her works have won several awards and can be seen on exhibit in DC, Maryland, Virginia and recently at National Institute of Health, Collection in Chevy Chase, the Art League’s Target Gallery along with many local venues.
