Patricia Hafkemeyer has been a member of the Loft Gallery for over three years. The Loft Gallery recently received the honor of Best Art Gallery in Prince William County.
Pat has always enjoyed painting and drawing throughout her life. After retiring from teaching a few years ago, she has been enjoying her art even more. Her favorite themes are serene landscapes, vibrant florals, colorful birds, and all things nature. Pat enjoys the detailed work of pen and ink and the different techniques used to obtain textures in her watercolor paintings. She also uses mixed media in watercolor and also paints in oils. She knows you don’t have to look far for your next inspiration for a painting, because nature surrounds us all.
Pat is a board member of the Springfield Art Guild and a member of the Virginia Watercolor Society. She has been in many juried art shows to include: Art at the Mill in Millwood, Green Springs in Annandale, the Goodwin House in Alexandria, the Workhouse Arts Center in Lorton, The Franconia Government Center, Open Space Art Gallery at Stone Bridge in Woodbridge, and the Tryon Painters and Sculptors Gallery in Tryon, NC.
