Karin Sebolka’s artistic journey has been shaped by diverse studies and experiences. Her drawing classes at the Corcoran School of Art, along with her studies in Oriental Brush Painting and Calligraphy while living in Thailand and South Korea greatly influenced her style. Watercolor has always been her preferred medium. After returning to Virginia, she continued to refine her skills through numerous workshops and classes with nationally and internationally recognized artists.
Karin is represented by The Loft Gallery, where her work is featured in monthly rotating exhibits. In her studio at the Loft Art Center additional paintings are on display. The title of this exhibition “Memories in Watercolor” reflects her inspiration; each piece offering a glimpse of the many places Karin has lived and visited. The cultures and natural beauty of these countries left Karin with lasting memories and countless photographs which were her inspiration for this show.
