Exhibit Title: You Will Not Steal This Time From Me
Show Dates: October 6 – November 1, 2026
Artist’s Reception: Saturday, October 17, 2026, 1:00–4:00 p.m.
Abstract mixed media artist Anne Terry creates vibrant, intuitive paintings that explore what it means to live with intention in a world that constantly competes for our time and attention. Her exhibition, You Will Not Steal This Time From Me, is an unapologetic response to a culture that so often fragments our focus and pulls us away from what matters most.
Through bold color, urgent marks, layered textures, and handwritten reminders, Terry’s work invites viewers to reconnect with joy, presence, and authenticity. Each painting serves as an invitation to both defiance and celebration—a reminder that you will not get this time back, and you can choose what to make of it.
Terry is a Washington, DC–based artist whose work combines acrylic, collage, drawing, and written language into expressive abstract compositions. This exhibition marks her first solo show at The Loft Gallery of Occoquan.
