The Loft Gallery of Occoquan invites you to its upcoming May exhibit “Things We ♥ … IV” featuring the paintings of Susan Norman and wood turnings of George Jones III. The Artists’ Reception is just in time for Mother’s Day gifting – a pre-Mother’s Day event.

A fourth collaboration by two friends.
After navigating the last few years of difficulties in the world, Susan has chosen to have her impressionistic paintings in this show emphasize celebrating the family as well as bird sightings familiar to us all. The paintings reflect joy through color and theme.
George has worked diligently during the past few years to continue perfecting his artful wood turnings. He has prepared beautiful clocks and wall-hung pieces. He has added a touch of whimsy to his show by incorporating gnomes and mushrooms into his displays of bowls, plates and vessels.

Since the introduction to the craft of woodturning, over 17 years ago, George has had the opportunity to study under a number of internationally renowned wood artists.
“All of my pieces are unique, from bowls to wall art. Each tells a story and are important to me.
Hopefully the love and fulfillment I gain from creating each piece is apparent and brings enjoyment to those who see them. The best thing about being an artist is the gift of learning and growing from each piece. Each piece of artwork pushes me to grow and embrace new ideas.”
